It's only Saturday afternoon and we've received some great feedback on our Constitution survey. During the second hour of the broadcast, we asked our audience, "If the U.S. Constitution had to be ratified today, would you sign on, and if you could amend the Constitution, what would you change?"

Here are some of your comments:

"Equal representation: Change the way the Senate is designed. Representation
must match population."

-- Anonymous, Minneapolis, MN

"The constitution does not make provisions for a balanced budget or make accountable representatives that borrow and spend, but do not tax. This is the congressional illness of the last 40 years. Everyone wants to keep their pork, but no one wants to raise taxes to pay for it. However, speaking historically, the founding fathers did a better job than any political today could have. The constitution in that respect would contain my signature."
-- Jerome Jenkins, Wrightwood, CA

"Any election closer than 10% majority with any candidate getting more than 40% of popular vote would be decided by coin toss between top two candidates. No recount and no new election. Remember folks we are a democracy and it only matters that the majority of people get their choice. If 40% vote for a candidate the majority will get their candidate.

Redefine separation of church and state. So all religious issues are outside the constitutional bounds. Could I do that, NO. I cannot find the words that work.

Government cannot make moral issues such as abortion law. We all should own our own bodies and do with them as we like. Again, I don't know if the abuses would be better than the compromises."
--Robert Folline, Sammamish, WA

"I would do away with the Electoral college in its entirety."
--Edmund Bertrand, Wenham, MA

So, would you sign / ratify the constitution? What would you change?
