I was raised Lutheran, but my first taste of wine also was Manischevitz, diluted with water about 3 to 1, at my grandfather's house on Christmas Eve when I was about six. (Grandma protested that it was still too strong for a kid.) I remember that smell, which I sometimes pick up in church from the communion wine. For something sacramental, it seems so deliciously forbidden. Posted by: peachy on April 23, 2005 12:10 PM Heard aprogram about an oldr person in a cessna following cranes and other species.
