Music on Weekend America Related entries: Music As you have probably heard, there is quite a bit of music on Weekend America. As the Music Director, I'm the guy who chooses the majority of the musical content, and works will all of our music contributors. This past week, I received a number of emails regarding our World Music picks with Tom Pryor and a few question about our bridges. One of the really nice features on our website is the complete listing of all of the music used in the program. You can also find a detailed listing of all of the bridges that followed each story here, along with a complete listing of all of the "picks" here. Both of these areas are updated weekly with links to a retailer where you can purchase the discs. Posted by Michael Raphael on March 28, 2005
I'm so glad to see the list of bridge music --there's a lot that I hear that just makes me wonder and want to go back, but to what? Now I can find out. I wish there was some way other public radio programs could do this in general. Like have a web page consisting of just the bridge music with some clips. In another incaranation I DJ'd, and there's currently an old reggae bit used for bridge music that I KNOW I played a number of times, but I can't remember the title -- it's become an earworm in rasta clothing, and I can only go through my collection so many times. So again, thanks for that link. Posted by: Joley on March 29, 2005 3:10 PM |
