I’m in search of good local popcorn.

I bought local popcorn recently, and was disappointed by the results. About 10 percent reached full fluff, and the remainder was almost dead soldiers.

The popped kernels were great, but the others had a taste that reminded me of Kix cereal that I had as a kid.

Maybe the local farmers aren’t growing the right kind of popcorn or maybe the right kind of corn won’t grow in the Northeast. Maybe it's my air popper.

Suggestions are welcomed.
