Sure it is... at least at the Keenan household. Don't tell the family, but I wanted the house to smell like fresh baked cookies when they arrived. Usually, not a problem. When I make cookies, I make a lot of cookies and freeze bags full of extra dough. This is great when you have a cookie craving and really don't need a whole batch laying around. You can just bake two cookies. Also a fantastic thing when you forgot to plan dessert for the dinner party, or company drops by to see the new baby.
Everyone will wonder - how on earth does she do it? Normally, it is like anything else. One large chunk of work, many days of reward. But there have been so many occasions to celebrate that the freezer was empty. On my trip through Everrett's market yesterday I saw some Sweet Martha's cookies in the freezer section. Oh my, I cannot wait to pop these in the oven. A little taste of the state fair at home.
Speaking of... what local food did you eat at the fair? I was happy to see that the Minnesota Grown sign was proudly displayed at the corn roast, but I didn't see many other signs for food that was harvested in the state. But, with two babies at the fair, I cannot say that local eating was the first thing on my mind. Who should we keep an eye out for next time?
Minnesota Grown sign also spotted at the milk booth, the bison booth by the coliseum, I think I even saw one in the food building, maybe the trout on a stick place?

I am glad to know that someone was paying attention. Should have known it would have been the culinary specialist. I had my summit beer and corn (and some cheese curds... shhhhh). Sareen
