Just a note...more later

No, I haven't dropped off the face of the earth, or starved from trying to eat locally! We have all just been attacked by illness, me in particular!

I had a great day at the Saturday market and at the Saturday Farmers Market downtown Oklahoma City on Marcy 1st. We got 25 pounds of flour, dozens of eggs, carrots, spinach, swiss chard, bread, arugula, romaine lettuce, green and ripe tomatoes. It was fabulous.

There was one daunting moment when a local producer informed me that he would bring live chickens at the first of each month. I must have looked a little surprised, because he gently reminded me that chickens start out that way, live that is!

He said he was certain I could figure something out.
