Post to the Host:
Well, for years now, Guy Noir has been searching for the answers to life's persistent questions based out of his office on the 12th floor of the Acme Building. Everyone knows this. But for months now, there's been no mention of the fabled Acme Building.

Did Guy finally get evicted for non-payment of rent? Did he find a new office space and we weren't informed?

In short, what happened on the 12th floor of the Acme building? And who's looking into this?

Thanks for your time!

Mr. Keillor:
I just graduated from high school in a small town in central Kansas, and am looking forward to going to college in Chicago.

What should I expect moving to a big city?

Mr. Keillor,
My dilemma is this: In a few days I am faced with seventy three days of vacation.

What to do? What to do?

Garrison (or perhaps, Mr. Keillor);
I am a product of great Scandinavian reticence; yet I will be called upon to deliver a eulogy at a treasured family member's demise.

Could you just give me three good rules in story telling? I have a great story to tell; but my delivery sucks.

Hello Mr. Keillor.
I'm a 60-year old woman who has helped raise 7 children, worked at a computer for nearly 30 years and I now have decided to quit a good-paying job to follow my dream.
I am a singer of old standards, country, and gospel and I've created a couple of southern characters whom I've portrayed at churches, for women's groups, nursing homes, schools, birthday parties and also with a local live radio program. My question is, where do I begin to write my own "original" material?

Joyfully yours,

Dear Garrison,

I joined a fantasy baseball league a little while ago and when it came time to name my team, I quickly decided on the Lake Wobegon Whippets. Like the actual Whippets, they spent much of the season near the top of the standings until injuries and suspensions due to PEDs weakened the lineup. The collapse that I always sort of knew would happen came soon afterwards and they closed the season in tenth place (out of twelve).

This season hasn't been much better. I know a lot about baseball and I've tried everything I can think of to get them out of this funk, but I'm beginning to think I picked a cursed name.

Come next season, should I rename the team or can a winning team actually be named the Whippets? Should I have gone with the Avon Bards?

To the Host:
I've noticed over the last several months that you have introduced two Lutheran clergywomen to your "News From Lake Wobegon" stories. I've also noticed that they are portrayed considerably less positively than Pastor Inqvist (or the two Roman Catholic priests) have been. One is a glutton and a gossip and the other is just nuts.

Since I live in Mississippi, I don't actually have much opportunity to interact with Lutheran clergywomen, but as the husband of a United Methodist clergywoman, I can say that of all the United Methodist clergywomen in Mississippi, none of them, to my knowledge, is anything like the two you have portrayed in your stories.
