PHC staffer Ella Schovanec is on the Summer Love tour with Garrison, Sara Watkins, Fred Newman and The Guy's All-Star Shoe Band and will update us periodically from the road.

Baltimore was a blast. Cast and crew hit the Crab Cake Capital of the World in the morning and loaded up on t-shirts and blue crab key chains and fresh sea air along the pier. We did the show from the inner harbor and serenaded the audience and the seagulls the passing water taxis alike.

Francis Scott Key wrote "The Star Spangled Banner" in Baltimore 196 years ago and when Garrison Keillor led the audience in a sing-a-long of the song, we got a bit of a surprise when they all shouted the "O" in "O! say does that star-spangled banner yet wave" and found out that the really loud "O!" is for the Baltimore Orioles and that Baltimoreans always yell it. So, O! Thank you, Balmer, we had fun!
