Summer Love Tour hits the Southwest

PHC staffer Nic Vetter is on the Summer Love tour with Garrison, Sara Watkins, Fred Newman and The Guy's All-Star Shoe Band and will update us periodically from the road.

We had a great show at Dallas, and thank all things holy it was indoors due to the oppressive heat, in a stunning new opera house to boot.

Flagstaff was beautiful, with its backdrop formed by the San Francisco Peaks and the tall Ponderosa pines, a short distance from the scrub brush of the desert and the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.

GK wrote a Cowboys script specifically for the Flagstaff show because the milieu called for it. Appropriately, there were a few cowboys in the audience, who were enthusiastically enjoying the show despite themselves, and much dancing took place in the aisles during intermission.

Flagstaff is a fun, rowdy bunch of people and I reckon we won't be strangers for too long.
