Fred Plotkin at Pavarotti's Tomb

Posted at 2:14 PM on September 5, 2008 by Fred Child

Luciano Pavarotti died September 6, 2007. We marked the date on the air today...and here's a video postcard from opera director and author Fred Plotkin, in Pavarotti's hometown of Modena, Italy.

Thanks to WNYC's Aaron Cohen. Aaron shot and edited the video, and he and Fred were kind enough to share it with Fredlines.

(And opera fans, if you haven't already heard it, be sure to check out Aaron's astounding hour-long show, co-produced with Jad Abumrad for WNYC, on Wagner's Ring Cycle.)
