One last trolley-bell toll for thee
Rice-A-Roni was created in the late 1950's by Vincent DeDomenico, ason of Italian immigrants. Family members of DeDomenico confirmed yesterday that he died this past week. He was 92. DeDomenico turned an Armenian rice recipe into a dinner-table staple across America. His family sold the business in the 1980s for Quaker Oats as part of a deal worth $300 million.
