« Warren Buffett | Main | Is deflation in our future? »
Another pearl of wisdom from Warren Buffett, this one courtesy of the economists at the Angry Bear blog:
[Gold] gets dug out of the ground in Africa, or someplace. Then we melt it down, dig another hole, bury it again and pay people to stand around guarding it. It has no utility. Anyone watching from Mars would be scratching their head.

Hi Chris,
The subtitle of your blog is, "Helping you manage your money well." As I look back over your posts from the past couple months there's very little that seems applicable to folks' personal finance management there.
Certainly it's your blog and you can do whatever you want with it. I'm just throwing a little feedback your way. I enjoy listening to you on the radio program.
Sincerely,
Jason

Chris,
Why isn't there more talk on your program about Gold? Gold and silver have been currencies for 5000 years and are the only currencies that have survived, ALL others have failed. It seems to me a disservice to your listeners that with the dollars inevitable failure soon that people that do have money to invest that you don't give this as an option?
Thanks,
John Anderson
