I think that Mayoral-Elect Tony V will introduce a new paradigm of how Los Angelenos are viewed by public government. We're in the behavioral era,
and it's appropriate to refer to all people as
mental health consumers within families or as individuals coping well with the stress of the 21st Century. The Surgeon General Report on
Mental Health of (1999) and the Supplement on
Ethnic Minority Culture (2000)are monumental
guides that should be adhered to. This movement
is also a foundation rock of the Faith-Based &
Community Initiatives which can't belong to
any partisan party but can be used for the
revival & reformation of American Democracy.
And it first has to start in those big urban
cities, which LA happens to be the second
largest!
