I voted this morning in Whittier. I arrived at 8:10 am and there was a line of about 25 people! I've voted for many years and the number of people voting at the same time never exceeded 3. It was so exciting to see so many people getting involved. I had my Obama buttons on my purse as I did not know that it was prohibited. One man was shooting daggers at me and I seriously did not know why. I apologize. The poll workers were the same ones I've seen for about 20 years. The two that take names are easily over 80 years old and took a long time to find the names. But it was a great experience.
I voted this afternoon in Venice. Our polling site was amazing! It took about 15 minutes for the whole process. One gentleman walking in said that it is because no one knows where Venice is. Italy is a long ways away.
We also had the experience of elderly poll workers, but how wonderful. They were truly helpful. Good for them! This is a very exciting election.
