Thousands of people across the country, at the invitation of Microsoft, are hosting Windows 7 release parties next month. Microsoft is giving away copies of Windows 7 Ultimate to party hosts, who are getting some guidance from Microsoft on how to show off the newest version of Windows at their parties.
Not sure if this is a true story or not, the author didn't give a url and I went to the Microsoft site and there was no information at all about Windows 7 release parties.
The story is true - I signed up to host one a month or two ago - it is probably too late to sign up now. For me, I signed up mostly for the free copy of Windows 7 Ultimate, and my party will be light on cheesy Windows demonstrations - in fact, the oddness of hosting a Windows party is part of the fun (and we'd be having the party anyway). But I will at least show Windows 7 for anyone who wants to play around with it.
I have been selected by signing up with Microsoft and I will be having my House party on the 24th of October. and Why not it is fun and you get a FREE COPY of windows 7. And I must say I am a geek but so are my firends and they think it is alright..
