A sure sign of things to come, but I said that about PACKET RADIO a while back. This is more useful and more likely to come into being. No, not on bikes, but in cars and trucks. The darned things are everywhere and most of them already have computers. All the need is WI-FI and suddenly you have the cellphone industry in big trouble as our highways also become data highways.
What do you get when you pass laws requiring WI-FI in every home, car, and public building? Well, maybe in 10-20 years some kind of odd health problem, but before then Internet-Almost-Everywhere. Maybe I'll be able to stop paying for my cable Internet connection...
