Drink Recipe: “Berliner Olympic”
- Combination of the Olympic - popular in Owens’ day - and the Berliner.
- Spiced with “Kummel” - a German caraway-flavored sweet liqueur.
Recipe, as invented by Paul Rodriguez at Tinto restaurant in Philadelphia:
Rinse out chilled martini glass with a few dashes of Kummel.
In cocktail shaker with ice, add 1 oz each of:
- Fresh-squeezed orange juice
- Triple-sec or Red Curacao
- Brandy
Strain into glass. Garnish with orange peel.
