Some bridges naturally call our attention: Duluth's Aerial Lift Bridge, the Stone Arch Bridge crossing the Mississippi into downtown Minneapolis. Many remain largely unnoticed by those who traverse them.

But if asked, most of us have a story to tell about a favorite bridge, or one we frequently cross.
