State employee contract debate - how does it affect you?

On Monday, October 12th, the state employees union voted to reject a contract that would have cut $25 million from state payrolls, mostly through furlough days. Governor Lynch says the vote means he'll start laying off hundreds of state workers, while the union says it's time to start new negotiations.
