Same-sex marriage in New York

Thousands of people rallied in Albany this week to support legislation that would legalize same-sex marriage in New York.

The State Assembly is expected to start discussing the idea next week. If the bill passes, New York will join four other states -- Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, and Iowa -- in allowing same-sex couples to wed.
