Get written permission if you're not — or share a piece you've composed as long as you hold full rights

If you're uploading a recital or group performance, get written permission from all involved, including the musicians, to record and publicly display the performance

Upload the digital audio file or video to the Internet

Other options include hosting the file on your own personal/group Web site or another hosting service. Wherever you host the file, be sure to give us the permalink or direct link to the performance you're submitting.

You must be 13 or older to submit information to Performance Today. By submitting the link to your recording, you acknowledge public radio producers and organizations may reference your performance and/or use your comments online or on-air and attribute them to you (first and last name, city, state). Show producers may contact you regarding your submission. American Public Media will not sell or share your personal information.

If you uploaded a photo: By submitting that image, you are affirming that the photos are your own, taken by you, and you have full rights to the photos. Pictures may be used on the Performance Today Web site, and may be posted on other American Public Media Web sites, or may be filed for future use. APM reserves the right to reuse or republish your submission, or to withhold it from publication. By submitting your photo you are donating it to American Public Media/Performance Today. APM/PT will retain first publishing rights to the photo. There is no direct paid or unpaid compensation for photos. You will be identified in a credited byline on any published photos. Your submission may be edited for size, clarity, content, or to meet file standards.
