When Stephanie told us Rize was in town I grabbed a dance friend and headed over. This movie is totally involving and the dance is very exciting. The movie gives some good flavor into the predicament and opportunities created by this culture on the edge. Mostly black and hispanic Hollywood ghetto youth and join dance groups to keep out of gangs and have meaning, achievement, growth and excitement in their lives.
They dance to live. The dance is fast, in-your-face, athletic, and creative. It changes constantly and is the heart of cool and integrity.
This movie rocks.
