This is a finely observed study of charisma & the impact of both class & religion in a young girl's life. It gets the details right in a small British town. It doesn't make any grand pronouncements, but it has imapact.
I think both of the actresses are worthy of the hype (e.g. The New York Times listed Banks as a performer to watch.)
