Pretty Good Jokes

From the Joke Collection
I think that I originally heard this about 60 years ago, when priests still had their backs to the congregation during most of the Mass:

At Midnight Mass one year, as usual, several prominent Protestants came to the service and there were not enough seats in the pews, so several older ladies were left standing in the back of the church. The priest whispered to one of the altar servers: "Get three chairs for the Protestant ladies!" The altar boy looked confused and just knelt there. Then the Priest said it more emphatically: "Get three chairs for the Protestant ladies!!" So the altar boy stood up and turned to the congregation and said very loudly: "Three cheers for the Protestant ladies!"
